Bob Austin, President
Bob Austin is a KoreLogic founder with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry including the establishment of three information security consulting practices. As President of KoreLogic, Bob is responsible for its strategic direction and growth as well as establishing business alliances. Bob is also active in consulting service delivery and directly supports clients in the following areas: assessment of enterprise security programs, development of security strategy; organizational design of security groups, incident response program development, and executive security training.
Bob serves as President of the Central Virginia ISSA Chapter and is an OWASP Project Leader in the area of web application security metrics. Bob is an invited security speaker at a variety of forums including OWASP, various ISSA Chapters, various Society for Information Management (SIM) Chapters, the e-Security Conference, the Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA), and the eFlorida Conference on Electronic Government.
Prior to joining KoreLogic, Bob served as the Vice President of META Security Group's Consulting Practice where he played a key role in developing the Practice from its inception in 1999. Prior to joining META, he helped found Nichols Research's information security practice that served commercial and government clients including the National Security Agency. As a member of its senior management team, Bob helped grow CSSi, a four-time Washington Technology FAST 50 and Inc. 500 company, to +$14M which resulted in its acquisition by Nichols Research. Bob holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and has held the government security clearance of Top Secret.
